CBS.COM AND SEARS TO LAUNCH SECOND ONLINE SURVIVORTM "CASTING CALL" CONTEST

First Casting Call Contest Winner, James "Jimmy T." Tarantino, Appeared On 21st Season of SURVIVOR

Over 2,000 Video Entries Submitted for First Contest

SAN FRANCISCO - Dec. 7, 2010 - CBS.com and Sears today announced the launch of the second official SURVIVORTM "Casting Call" online contest*.  One lucky fan will win a trip to Los Angeles to audition in front of the SURVIVORTM casting team for a potential spot on an upcoming season of the popular CBS reality series.  After a decade on the air, SURVIVORTM remains a top 20 show in viewers, continuing to dominate its time period in all key ratings measures.

In January, Sears sponsored the first SURVIVORTM "Casting Call" contest on CBS.com, which garnered over 2,000 video entries from fans across the nation.  James "Jimmy T." Tarantino, the winner of the contest, was picked by SURVIVORTM's casting team to be one of the coveted 20 castaways on this season's SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA.

Starting today, fans can visit the Sears-sponsored SURVIVORTM hub at http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/casting_call/ and upload a 30 to 60-second video of themselves explaining why they think they could win SURVIVORTM.  The top 10 entries will be selected by the SURVIVORTM casting team.

On Jan. 11, the top 10 selected videos will be presented to the general public for a vote.  Fans can vote for their favorite submissions until Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011.  The winner will be flown to Los Angeles to audition for a spot on the show.

"We pride ourselves on providing engaging and interesting content to our customers, and based on their positive response to the first casting call, we are thrilled to once again work with CBS to support SURVIVOR II Casting Call," said David Friedman, Senior Vice President, marketing for Sears Holdings.  "We enjoyed watching the casting call winner, Jimmy T., compete as a castaway on SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA this season."

"The first SURVIVORTM 'Casting Call' contest was a huge success and we are excited to partner with Sears to give fans another chance to win a coveted casting opportunity," says Jeff Clark, Vice President of CBS.com.  "The response to our SURVIVORTM hub on CBS.com has been fantastic, and this contest will encourage fans to engage with all of the content we've provided for them, from photos to videos to interactive games.  We're looking forward to a big turn-out this year from die-hard SURVIVORTM fans."

Twenty castaways have been competing in a tribal battle of the ages on SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA, currently airing on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Since the spring of 2000, SURVIVORTM has traveled to the farthest corners of the planet with over 300 contestants attempting to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast each other in the quest for $1 million.

*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter or win.  Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., 18 (or age of majority) and older.  Void where prohibited.  Entry Period ends at 11:59:59 PM/PT on Dec. 28, 2010.  Contest ends at 11:59:00 PM/PT on Jan. 25, 2011.  For Official Rules and more information about the contest, go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/casting_call/.
