Rock Band Foreigner Will Play A Medley Of Their Classic Hits, Including “Feels Like The First Time”

CBS Daytime series “The Price Is Right” and “The Talk” will support Breast Cancer Awareness month with special dedicated episodes to air in October.   

THE PRICE IS RIGHT, television’s longest-running game show, partners with Ford’s “Warriors in Pink” campaign in an episode that airs Friday, Oct. 7 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT).  Host Drew Carey and announcer George Gray will wear ties with “Warriors in Pink” symbols, the audience will wear scarves adorned with the “Warrior” symbols, and the showcases each include a 2012 Ford Focus wrapped with a “Warrior” decal. In addition many of the prizes, including a Vespa, are pink to salute Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Also, a $10,000 donation will be made during one of Price’s most iconic games by Ford’s “Warriors in Pink” to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to help fund breast cancer research and education.  In addition, Carey will appear in a public service announcement for “Warriors in Pink” to air within the episode.  

 

As part of THE TALK’s ongoing focus on women’s health, the daytime talk show will host its first-ever “Pink Party” celebration to raise awareness for the importance of getting a mammogram this Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Actress, activist and breast cancer survivor Jaclyn Smith will be in studio to discuss her personal story of survival.  The show will feature a diverse audience of women who have never had a mammogram along with breast cancer survivors who will share their unique stories and experiences, airing Tuesday, Oct. 11 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT).   

For the “Pink Party,” the show will celebrate with pink balloons, a pink carpet, pink robes and special giveaways.  A mobile mammogram truck will also be on-site for women in the audience who have never had a mammogram will have the opportunity to get one.  Co-hosts Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood will participate in getting a screening.  Legendary rock act Foreigner will also be on site to support the cause, which they have personal ties to, performing a medley of some of their greatest hits, including “Feels Like The First Time.”

Dr. Kristi Funk, a board-certified surgical breast specialist and founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, will be in studio at THE TALK to discuss the importance of getting a mammogram.  Dr. Funk will offer tips on early detection and will demonstrate how to perform a self-examination.
