NCIS TOPS TUES IN VIEWERS AND LEADS X-FACTOR IN A18-49 AT 8PM; NCIS: LA POSTS BEST A18-49 RATING SINCE LAST FEB.

 

"NCIS" IS TUESDAY'S #1 PROGRAM

For the Second Straight Week, "NCIS" Tops "The X-Factor" At 8:00 PM in Adults 18-49 and Leads By More Than 8 Million Viewers

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Places First at 9:00 PM in Viewers, With its Largest Audience Since Sept. 27 and Best Adult 18-49 Rating Since Last February

"Unforgettable" Tops at 10:00 PM in Viewers and Key Demos Against Scripted Competition

            NCIS was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers and for the second straight week topped "The X-Factor" at 8:00 PM in adults 18-49, while NCIS: LOS ANGELES won its time period in viewers and was up +9% in adults 18-49 from last week, its best rating in the demo since February, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 25.

NCIS was first in households (11.7/18), viewers (19.05m), adults 25-54 (5.5/14) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11) for the sixth consecutive week.  NCIS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54.  Compared to last week, NCIS was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.4/13) and +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11).

NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.88m) and second in both adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09).  This is NCIS: LOS ANGELES's largest audience since Sept. 27, 2011, best adults 25-54 performance since Sept. 20, 2011 (season premiere) and best adults 18-49 delivery since Feb. 22, 2011. 

At 10:00 PM, UNFORGETTABLE was first among scripted programs in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.29m), adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07).  Note:  FOX's "The X Factor" aired from 10:00-10:30 PM and was first in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.   

For the night, CBS was first in households (9.5/15), viewers (15.40m), second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09).  CBS was first on Tuesday in viewers every week this season.    

Updated Tuesday ratings will be available this afternoon.

Note:  DVR penetration is at 42%, up from 38% last year.  Last fall, Live+7 audiences for original entertainment series on CBS gained over 1.8 million viewers, on average, over Live+ Same Day ratings, more than any other network.  Thisseason, we expect DVR penetration to continue to increase and, as a result, we expect DVR playback audiences to grow as well.
