Actress Nia Peeples joins CBS's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the contract role of Karen Taylor, Nikki Newman's (Melody Thomas Scott) campaign manager, beginning Wednesday, April 18.   Peeples is best known for her roles in the feature film "Fame" and the television series "Walker, Texas Ranger," on the Network.  Her other credits include the feature film "Half Past Dead" and the television series "Barbershop" and "Crisis Center."

           THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has been the Number One rated drama for more than 18 years and is currently in its 35th season.  The show is broadcast weekdays (12:30-1:30 PM; 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
