CBS's Live Plus Same Day Averages Increase +21% in Viewers, +29% in Adults 18-49 and +28% in Adults 25-54 with 7-Day Lift

10 CBS Shows Post 7-Day Lifts of More Than 3 Million Viewers

        CBS grew its audience +2% in premiere week versus last year with live + 7-day ratings playback added and was even in key demographics, according to Nielsen Live + 7-day ratings for premiere week.  CBS is up +2% in viewers (13.25m from 12.98m) and even in adults 18-49 (3.1) and adults 25-54 (4.1).

        With live + 7-day lift, CBS live plus same day ratings increased +21% in viewers (13.25m from 10.91m, +2.34m), +29% in adults 18-49 (3.1 from 2.4, +0.7) and +28% in adults 25-54 (4.1 from 3.2, +0.9).

        Compared to last year's premiere week, CBS's new Monday lineup is up +66% in viewers, +39% in adults 18-49 and +53% in adults 25-54 with live + 7-day lift.  

         THE BIG BANG THEORY 2 (24.18m), THE BIG BANG THEORY (23.77m), NCIS (22.47m) and freshman drama NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (21.08m) all averaged more than 21 million viewers.  NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was the most-watched new program during premiere week.

SCORPION (19.22m) finished in the top 10 with live + 7-day viewing included, and jumped +56% in adults 18-49 to a 5.0 rating.  

         Ten CBS shows posted lifts of more than 3 million viewers, including PERSON OF INTEREST, BLUE BLOODS, UNDER THE DOME, HAWAII FIVE-0 and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.

Editor's Note: CBS's premiere week included four and a half hours of live unscripted programming (“Big Brother” finale and Thursday Night Football) which were not in premiere week a year ago.  Live programming traditionally generates significantly lower DVR playback levels.
