CBS NEWS' "48 HOURS MYSTERY” UP +20% IN ADULTS 25-54, +8% IN ADULTS 18-49 FROM LAST YEAR

            CBS News’ 48 HOURS MYSTERY (10:00-11:00 PM) was up +20% in adults 25-54, +8% in adults 18-49 and even in households, compared to the same night last year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, Dec. 10. For the night, the broadcast, entitled “Live to Tell: Three Days Before Christmas,” posted a 3.5/06 in households, 5.50m viewers, 1.8/05 in adults 25-54, and 1.3/04 in  adults 18-49.

When the Tiede family headed off to spend a snowy Christmas at their remote family cabin, they had no idea what the trip would bring. In this “Live to Tell” broadcast from 48 HOURS MYSTERY, the two sisters who survived a harrowing home invasion shared the terrifying story in their own words. With help from each other, the survivors were able to rebuild their lives and today the sisters are thriving and have families of their own – a tale that reminds us of the true power of family ties.
