Saturday’s broadcast featured Erin Moriarty and 48 HOURS’ investigation into the death of Hunter Grissom, an Alabama man gunned down by his ex-wife Tracey Grissom. Tracey maintained she shot in self-defense, that she was a victim of domestic abuse and that she snapped as the result of previous abuse by Hunter. Prosecutors and Hunter’s family believe she was unprovoked and shot him in cold blood.

Moments after firing six times at Hunter, Tracey called police to report what she had done. She was arrested and charged with murder. Tracey Grissom was later tried and convicted of killing Hunter.

The broadcast included Tracey Grissom’s only TV interview, as well as interviews with Hunter’s mother and aunt.
